Officially the most followed person on Instagram with over 94.5 million followers and counting, it’s no wonder the country went crazy for Selena Gomez’s long-overdue arrival in Australia last week.

After cancelling her 2014 Australian tour in order to put self care first, the 24-year-old star definitely made it up to her fans by including some of her older hits during the concerts, including ‘Who Says’ and ‘Love You Like A Love Song’.

I was lucky enough to attend her Sydney concert, and she didn’t disappoint! Her set featured 19 songs, including some unexpected covers as well – Hillsong‘s ‘Transfiguration’ and the 1983 hit by Eurythmics, ‘Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)’.

The Texan beauty stunned the audience with  costume changes throughout the night, including a gorgeous white dress and a sparkly black number.

On a side note – I can’t begin to describe my excitement at seeing DNCE‘s frontman Joe Jonas open the show – two of my favourite Disney Channel stars during the same concert?! The 12-year-old me was reborn again.

Of course, the ‘Kill Em With Kindness’ singer made time for her fans during her 5 day visit, with KISSFM’s Kyle & Jackio organising a surprise visit to a fan’s house! Check out her priceless reaction below:

Gomez brought her flawless style to our shores, gracing the cover of the September issue of Vogue Australia, which hits stores today. In the accompanying article, she opens up about her public private life, dating Justin Bieber, her new album, and the struggle of being taken seriously as an artist:

‘Nobody really knows everything and they can only assume. You want to do what you love but all this other stuff overshadows it so it makes it a little harder for people to take me seriously.’

The style icon also boosted Australian jewellery sales, after she was photographed with a rose gold wrist watch gifted to her by a Sydney fan, which has since been in high demand. According to The Daily Telegraph, Sydney entrepreneur and owner of Christian Paul Watches, Tim Caruana, says the $199 watch has been requested by so many that he’s ‘pushing manufacture to its limits to keep up with supply both locally and internationally’.
