This is not a drill, I repeat, this is not a drill. The most unexpected collaboration of 2016 is here. And it’s amazing.

Country-turned-pop icon Taylor Swift and ex-One Direction hottie Zayn Malik have released a single together called ‘I Don’t Wanna Live Forever’, breaking the news on their social media accounts and quickly sending the internet into a frenzy.

The pair also revealed their duet #idontwannaliveforever is the first single for the soundtrack of the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey sequel, Fifty Shades Darker, due for release on 10th February 2017.

The song was written specifically for the feature film by Swift, Jack Antonoff (whom Swift collaborated with previously on her album 1989) and Sam Dew, and it’s quickly gained popularity, already soaring to #1 on the US iTunes Top 10 Charts.

It’s also TayTay’s first new release as a vocalist in 2016 and the first taste of her music since 1989, so we’re all pretty excited about it! And just imagine how good the music video will be! Ahh!

However some fans had already speculated a collaboration, after Swift was seen having dinner with Malik and his supermodel girlfriend/Taylor’s bestie Gigi Hadid, in New York in September.
